    Mountain Bike Tours

Cycling in Auer and starting from Auer is wonderful and varied. On traffic-free or low-traffic and flat cycle paths, along the Wine Road and the Adige River or on the old Fleimstal railway line, the area can be explored particularly beautifully. Vineyards and apple orchards as far as the eye can see, shady deciduous forests, colourful meadows, past Lake Kaltern with its mediterranean flair. On the way there are many places to stop for a break, where you can relax and fortify yourself for the onward journey.

But there are also more demanding tours at higher altitudes. For example, a tour to Jochgrimm, Trudner Horn and the Cisloner Alm. Whether you are a road bike, mountain bike or electric bike rider, there is an ideal tour for everyone. South Tyrol offers a unique network of cycle paths, which are well signposted and with a size of 900km offer something for everyone. The train connections are also ideal for cycling tours in the big valleys of South Tyrol: Vinschgau, Eisacktal and Pustertal. You can take your own bike with you on the train or rent and return it at various stations. With the Winepass provided by us, you can use the train free of charge. You only have to pay for the cost of taking your bike with you.

It is also good to know that here in the south there is always a breeze from Lake Garda, the so-called “Ora”. This wind brings us mild temperatures all year round. You should take this into account and plan your cycling tours to make the best use of your resources.
